Birth to Five

What is the Birth to Five Parent Support Service?

At Sunshine Sensory we feel that being a parent can become overwhelming at times and sometimes you can get lost in the labyrinth of google and parenting sites.

Sunshine Sensory aims to maximise your playtime with your child while supporting them to progress towards their next educational targets.

There are several services available through the parent support service, both online and in person.

Private 1:1 session at home

£ 25
Venues beyond 20 mile radius of Darlington will be charged additional travelling expenses at 30p per mile.

Online Initial Assessment

£20

This involves submitting several videos of your child playing and interacting in different situations and a discussion about their current interests, behaviours and any concerns.  From the initial assessment we will be able to provide personalised targets in your requested areas or we can suggest areas to work on.

Online Support Session

£30

After the initial assessment we will provide you with a breakdown of what the targets will be working towards.  There will be three targets all with four activities each.  Printable resources will be included where appropriate.  It is important to understand these sessions are to provide guided activities for you to take part in with your child when playing with them at home.

Your child is not expected to interact with me online, I provide support to the carer/parent online.

There is no set period for how long each session will last, some children will take a 6 weeks to reach the targets, some children could take 12 weeks, it is important to remember that your child will learn at their own pace and these activities are there to support this and maximise their opportunities.

There is also an optional 15 minute video chat available and unlimited email support during the session.

WHAT PEOPLE SAY

This support has been great from Tracy, and I couldn't recommend her more!!

To have some input and observations from someone who has experience and knowledge in these areas has been a great sense of relief. Knowing we can do extra activites (that we hadn't even thought of, and as first time parents we didn't really know) has made play time really fun and the extra bonus that our little one is learning at the same time!

Honestly, if you need some extra support or guidance or just don't know what tondo - reach put to Tracy for her Parent Support service, you won't be disappointed!
