Shape Fun

Encouraging children to think outside the box and use their imagination is at the heart of our Sunshine Sensory session. This week we have been exploring the different textures of shapes for out little ones but for our older ones there was a bit more of a challenge by encouraging them to use the shapes to create their own pictures.

The children enjoyed talking about the textures they were using and telling me what they had made with their shapes, we had lot's of houses and a robot!

This is an easy activity to continue at home and can be incorporated with scissor skills by allowing your child to cut up pieces of paper into any shapes they like then encouraging them to use those shapes to create their own collages.
